Interactive Scape: KielRegion

In partnership with KielRegion, we developed a custom interactive application for the InteractiveScape table, designed to present the region and its “smarterleben” projects in a playful, engaging way. Using six tangible objects representing key regional initiatives—such as a wooden bicycle for “Smart Mobility”—visitors are invited to place these objects onto the table’s surface. Each object, equipped with InteractiveScape markers, triggers a dynamic display of related information: project details, partner initiatives, images, and videos.

All content can be freely rearranged and explored on the digital surface for a hands-on user experience. At the heart of the application is a beautifully visualized map of KielRegion. When an object is placed, corresponding locations and project sites are highlighted—bringing the region’s smart transformations to life.

Highlights:

  • Tangible, object-triggered interaction for intuitive discovery
  • Live map visualization of regional projects and impact
  • Modular content: images, text, and media for each initiative

This installation invites visitors to explore the innovations shaping the KielRegion—all at their fingertips, in an immersive and collaborative setting.
